Imagine a Warrior, a Samurai. A person living by extremely strict (discipline = freedom) guidelines in relationship to what a good/moral Samurai would do. Inside of the Warrior is an inbuilt guidance system guiding the behaviours and habits. A true Samurai eats certain foods, trains every day and lives by the code of the Samurai. That is also in us. If we ask and listen, sure enough there is a voice inside carrying a deep knowing as to what our path is. I'm defining "path" as

Every Last Drop letter 62. Pectus Excavatum or in fact any physical deformity or health issue can cause us to view that as the reason why certain things aren't possible. While it may be true that we look "different" or have genuine health concerns, it is also true that it is our responsibility to take our health into our own hands. It is one of the duties we must play during our time on earth irrelevant of whatever conditions present themself. There are certain things we can

Every Last Drop letter 60. It's 2025! Let's make it count... What limits you? I'll go first. I have Pectus Excavatum. Compressed heart and reduced lung capacity, increased anxiety and spine problems. Now what? There are two roads to take here... 1 being the road of victimhood. The road of "why me" and "you don't know what it's like to be me..." This is what we could call giving our power away. Or Road 2. The taking the cards we we're dealt in life and playing the best hand we

Our lives change in seasons and it's important to recognise what season is here. Is moving forward with "I must... I should!" actually helping? What about a touch of compassion? How would you advise a friend in this situation? Would you offer the same self talk to them? We want to be perfect and thats hard to achieve. Sometimes we need to chill. Not chill as in fuck right off, but chill as in taking the weight of the world off our shoulders. Moving forward with compassion and

Another day is here... If I'm honest I can't be fucked. I don't want to face the days responsibilities. Something we all face from time...

Sometimes we find ourself in positions where we're motivated and really believe in our mission. I'm starting to understand that this isn't luck... It's a process of building momentum. I'll never forget JP a clinical physiologist saying the best thing to start recovery from a deep hole of depression is: when you drink a cup of water, clean the cup, dry it and put it away. This is how we start the process of momentum. We acknowledge where we are at and decide to take the small

Here’s 3 things I’m convinced of that those of us with Pectus Excavatum should be doing on a daily basis to maintain and enhance our health: Breathing / Breathwork Movement & Mobility Mindset & Meditation More accurately I actually believe that all humans should participate in these on a daily basis, with or without Pectus. Before we dive into the application and reasons behind these 3 practices, have a look at this image of a top down comparison of a regular (red) ribcage an

"A person is limited only by the thoughts that he chooses.” - As a Man Thinketh, by James Allen. Comparison and desire to look like others, when you are already you. For the longest time I admired bodybuilders like Arnold, Steve Cook, Chris Bumsted… the list goes on. Endlessly consuming their content and wanting to one day look like them. But little did I know, deep down the only path that would bring satisfaction is being the best version of me. Constantly looking at people
