ELD 56: Momentum & mental health.

Sometimes we find ourself in positions where we're motivated and really believe in our mission. I'm starting to understand that this isn't luck...


It's a process of building momentum.


I'll never forget JP a clinical physiologist saying the best thing to start recovery from a deep hole of depression is: when you drink a cup of water, clean the cup, dry it and put it away.


This is how we start the process of momentum.


We acknowledge where we are at and decide to take the small steps into a new life.


We build momentum so that larger and larger tasks are capable to achieve.


Same goes for how we view our body and if we are confident in it. We build that over time with positive actions, thats why I made the Pectus Programme for people like me to build momentum.


I now know this to be true based of how I'm currently feeling on the other side of a rough month.


As we do more we start to believe more, which is a never ending positive feedback loop.


We must first take action... Or as Andy would say "The work comes before the belief."


What are some manageable steps we can take today? No matter how small. That's how this is all started.
