How many things do we do that we are half in half out? Having a conversation but thinking about something else. Watching YouTube with your phone open. The list goes on...
This is where the player 1 mindset comes in. What is the current game in front of you? Let's use the example of a conversation: The game being having more compassion, more interest in what the other is saying and more thought out responses. A REAL conversation. The "game" can be literally anything in the human experience, anything at all.
Im currently reading Jordan Petersons latest book, "Beyond Order, 12 More Rules For Life" and I'm absolutely in love with this quote:
This quote is in the context of the mindset for someone who is successful, and wants to remain so. It's the foundation, to truly play each and every game. Whatever the game may be.
You are Player1, what would you do if this was indeed a game (which it is...), what dreams would your character chase? who would you level up into? A mage? A warrior? You literally get to chose via your actions on a daily basis.
The adoption of the player1 mindset is shown by the man himself: Israel Adesanya, UFC champion and one of the best fighters to ever walk the planet. He treats his life like a game, and he is player1. Just look at all the success he has had and will continue to have... He, his family and those closer to him are now all set for life. He will continue to make billions just because he is who he is. He is player1 of his life, chasing his own goals.
Now practically:
Finding a daily pattern interrupt to remember the fact you are player1.
For me that looks like a breathwork practice, Owaken breathwork or Wim-Hof.
Find your own thing, your own reminder and execute the play...
Every. Single. Day.
Because its easier to be who you have been than someone new, than the player1 of your life.
Get to it!
Pick up the controller (your mind and body) and fucking go in. Lets get Every Last Drop from life!
Much Love 💜
